This program has successfully supported hundreds of Black moms in Ontario. The program is designed to provide practical guidance on topics such as budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management. We will also cover important topics such as taxes, wills & estates, and retirement planning.
The FinLit U cohorts are facilitated by a team of experienced Black financial professionals who understand the unique challenges facing our community. We believe that our approach, which is rooted in cultural competency and understanding, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
We start September 6, 2025, and will run until November 1, 2025. Sessions will be held every Saturday from with a 30-minute lunch break. Each week, we will focus on a different topic, with a different speaker. All course materials will be provided.
Spaces are limited as there are only 10-15 participants per cohort. Participants must be able to attend all sessions live and complete the required surveys by the due date.
We are also looking for Financial Professionals interested in sharing knowledge on Budgeting and Saving, Credit, Generational Wealth, and Wills and Estates.
